Monochromania, Barrel Vaulted

Monochromia Image

The P&LERR (Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad) terminal building, or the Landmarks Building, was constructed in 1900.  Located in Pittsburgh, this historic landmark, once a busy passenger station and hub of the P&LERR railroad, has been renovated and now contains shops, restaurants, and is a wedding venue.

I just have to tell all my Monochromia friends how much I have loved each and every one of the posts.  Thank you for making me smile with each one.

A very grateful thanks to Joe for adapting the image for me!

Laurie, I think I actually was in that building about 10 years ago. My recollection was we were visiting my son who was in Pittsburgh for the summer and took him out to a restaurant there. So, first, thanks for stirring up that fun memory. Second, I just love the beautiful symmetry of your photo, and of course, even moreso with the added Monochromia label :). Brilliant idea!!

Wonderful image Laurie 🙂 These grand old buildings are really a sight to behold and you captured this barrel vaulted ceiling beautifully. It was my pleasure to help out modifying this image 🙂
