Sycamore Trees are often found on the river’s edge and are easily seen in the early morning light because of their smooth, white bark. The Canada Geese, on the other hand, are not so visible this frosty morn.
Thank you so much. I’m grateful for the visit and the comment! I’m just back from your blog – your work is incredible. When you were using film, did you develop your own?
I have been following your blog as I love monochrome photography. And thank you for your comment and visit – I really appreicate it. As for developing my own film – well I never have. Most of my photography using film was while travelling – my shots were of course not the standard type travel shots as I do not see things as others see – the real creavtivity started when I went to digital – now especially with the D7000. I also do not do much if any PP – just my preference. Thank you again!
I’m so pleases you like this image! I’m just back from visiting your blog and am impressed with your work! In just a 5 minute visit, I saw such variety and those wedding shots (the shoes!). What an event that was. I’d have been fairly petrified 🙂
Gorgeous! Those layers, back and forth, effortlessly between dark and light…up the image my eyes go from the bottom of the photograph to the top. Each new layer brings twists and surprises. The details are beautiful.
Great image, Laurie!

Very cool image Laurie 🙂 The bark on these trees reminds me of the white birch trees up here. Great work.
