Jane, your photograph is like a painting…almost surreal. As Joe stated the congregation of so many trees in one place is amazing. My son, who is a master arborist, tells me that the largest living organism in the world are these stands of aspens as the root systems are wholly intertwined and comprise one living thing. Great capture!
Thanks very much, Michael. The beauty of the Aspens is incredible and the fact that they are one big family is truly fascinating. You must be very proud of your son. Glad you enjoyed this nature moment. 🙂
I lived in Beautiful Colorado for 24 years. I now live in Florida. A place I never wanted to live. I miss Colorado 24/7/365 days a year. I miss SNOW And Cold. A dry cold. I miss the four seasons. And the ASPENS. Amazing photo.
What a difference in landscapes between the two states, Sarah. I’m so glad this brought back good memories. Sorry you had to click again to see but I am thankful you did. 😃👍🏻
Phenomenal image Jane. The symmetry and sheer amount of Aspens is incredible. I have always pictured a shot like this in my mind but never was able to find a location with trees like this one. You read my mind, LOL. Really awesome work.
A classic view of aspen-ness.

It looks to me like the young trees are rising up between the established trees – very nice, Jane!
