One of the things we did on our holiday was to take the steam train on the North Yorkshire moors railway. It runs from Pickering to Whitby. It stops at 6 stations. We had had a long day in Whitby and I was a bit tired, I nearly didn’t make the effort to get off and take this shot. I’m glad I did. It’s so atmospheric and typical of a bygone age.

Great capture!
Is this Ontario? If yes, I do visit Pickering and I’ll sure make it a point to ride the train 😊

Well worth the effort – good image.
It’s a nice experience, especially for those who have not been on a steam train before. They do dinning trips as well which can be very enjoyable.

Superb image David 👍🏻 I wish there were more steam trains running in the USA, it would make for some fantastic images like yours. Awesome work.
