As much as anything this was a test of my new Panasonic Lumix GX85 and the tiny Olympus 9-18mm lens. At 9mm I see just a hint of barrel distortion, but not enough for me to worry about. This was handheld at f7.1 and 1/30 of a second. The in-body stabilization has proven very effective. I’m happy.

Excellent image Steven 🙂 I can’t tell you how many times a optically stabilized lens saved images that would have been unusable for me. I wish I had the 5 axis stabilization that your camera has though. Wonderful work.

Thanks Joe. The stabilization built into current cameras, especially the smaller sensor m43, has made a huge difference in how I am able to work. I rarely carry a tripod; they stay in the car for “emergencies”, which happen less and less often these days. Thank goodness!
