  1. Wonderful atmosphere in this scene Patti! I like how the street is divided into sunny and shadow side. The guy sitting on the sunny side is a lovely detail! 🙂

  2. My favorite street in that part of town – when I walk it it feels like a bit of old New York when gangs roamed this part of the 5 Points… nicely captured Patti!

  3. A quiet day in China Town! I’ve only been there when it was wall to wall people…probably because I usually only go into the city on nice days – if I can help it! 😉 Great shot! The contrast of light and the darkness of the shadows create a mood fitting for the lack of people out and about.

    1. A quiet moment in this part of Chinatown perhaps! Other streets had their usual crowds. Maybe next time you are in town you can have fun exploring it! Thank you Robyn!

    1. Thank you DW. We keep pinching ourselves about all the changes we have seen in the short time we’ve been here but I will never get over how quickly the Bowery changed.

  4. Great shot Patti 🙂 It is a little eerie to see the street empty but I am familiar with this street when its busy. I love the gritty look along with half the street being in shadow (to which you maintained nice detail). Nice work 🙂

    1. I think everyone was inside having lunch! Doyers St is tucked away in the depths of Chinatown, famous for drug raids and gang battles it is also known as the Bloody Angle. The Nam Wah Tea Parlour, tucked away in the right hand corner has been there since 1920. The street has as many barber shops as restaurants, if not more!
