St-Paul West

Montréal – ISO100 – F2.8 – 1/60 – GIMP and G’MIC

Taken in Montréal, Québec, in April 2014.

I like the heavy urban presence here. Unmovable concrete,  bricks and windows. Then we see in the middle of this stopped urban scenery two individuals following the one way.

  1. Such an eye catching image. I really like the detail on the front of the building, as well as the lights in the windows, the signage outside, the people walking by. Very nice!

  2. I love the grittiness of this image Meho 🙂 The combination of the hard materials, the graffiti to the right and just the fact that you captured a perfectly normal moment in time for the subjects and turned it into something extraordinary for the viewers. Well done my friend 🙂

I read a quote from somewhere I do not recall that stated “When you photograph in color you capture their clothes, but when you photograph in black and white you capture their souls” and it is certainly true in this example.
